StillMode is designed to collect as little as possible. This policy explains what we process and why.
Which apps you use stays on your device
StillMode uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls, Device Activity, Managed Settings) frameworks. The apps, categories and websites you choose are stored by iOS as opaque tokens that we can't read. Per-app usage is processed by iOS on your device to show your stats; it is never sent to us. The only screen-time figure that leaves your device is the daily total described below, and only if you join a circle.
What we store on our servers (only if you create an account)
- Account: email address or Apple ID identifier (from Sign in with Apple) and first name.
- Referrals: your referral code and who redeemed it.
- Circles: circles you start or join (name, emoji, type, members).
- Daily screen-time total (circles only): one number of minutes per day, sent only while you're in a circle and used to show its daily standings. No app names or details.
- Sign-in codes: a hashed one-time code while you sign in by email, deleted after use or expiry.
Without an account, nothing about you is stored on our servers; your shields, goals and settings live only on your device.
Who sees it
People in a circle you belong to see your first name and daily totals. Nobody else does. We don't sell personal data and don't use it for advertising.
Service providers
- Cloudflare hosts our API and database.
- Resend delivers sign-in emails.
- RevenueCat and Apple process purchases and subscription status. We receive your subscription state, never your payment details.
- Apple provides Sign in with Apple and push notifications.
Photos and camera
Photos you take to check off a habit and your profile photo stay on your device. They are never uploaded.
Retention and deletion
We keep account data while your account exists. Delete it any time in Settings › Account & data › Delete account; this permanently removes your account, circles you started, memberships, referrals and usage totals. You can also email us to access or delete your data.
Children
StillMode isn't directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR, CCPA) you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your data and to object to processing. Contact us to exercise them.
