🐞 Fixing common issues
Apps not shielded, empty stats, shields not starting.
An app isn't being shielded
- In iOS Settings › Screen Time › Apps with Screen Time Access (or Settings › StillMode), check that StillMode is allowed.
- Make sure Screen Time itself is on in iOS Settings.
- Open the shield in the Shields tab and check its days and hours. A schedule only holds inside its window, and a paused shield shows when it comes back on.
- Check that apps are picked: a shield without apps has nothing to hold.
- Close StillMode fully and open it again. Shields are re-applied every time the app opens.
A shielded app flashes open for a moment
iOS can take a second to apply a shield right after it starts, especially after a restart. That's on the system side; the pause screen appears as soon as iOS catches up.
Screen time numbers look off or are empty
Numbers come from iOS Screen Time. They can trail by a few minutes, and stay empty if Screen Time access was declined. With "Share Across Devices" on, iOS may add up several devices.
"Couldn't set up this shield"
iOS caps how many schedules one app can watch at once. If you have lots of shields, remove or merge a few (one schedule covering several days uses less than one shield per day).
